PDC staffed a table at the event encouraging people to donate socks, hats, gloves and rain ponchos to help the homeless keep warm and dry this winter. Nancy and Brian staffed the table, Gail worked both the PDC and the Affordable Housing NOW! table.

We purchased nice quality items that are desperately needed by the homeless to keep relatively warm and dry during the cold rainy season - socks (dry socks are an essential for health protection), hats, gloves and rain ponchos. People "buy" an item or items, pay the price of the items and put them in the box that goes to a reliable distribution point. The items sold that night (almost $200 worth) are going to County Health's Homeless Services - Matt Nathanson is the contact person there.
